Odette obtained her law degree from the University of Ottawa – Faculty of Law in 2002 and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2003. She practices primarily in areas of family law, Personal Injury law, Real Estate, Wills and Estate and Immigration Law. Prior to obtaining a law degree Odette obtained a psychology degree in 1999 from University of Ottawa.

 

Odette has gained extensive experience representing clients before all levels of courts of Ontario, from Superior Court of Justice, to Divisional Court, to Court of Appeal for Ontario, to Federal Court of Canada and before various administrative tribunals. Odette has equally settled hundreds of her client cases through alternative conflict resolutions process such as mediation.

Odette takes great pride in having worked and successfully represented clients from all walks of life – be socio economic, educational, and cultural background. With these skills, she is always successfully in understanding her clients' needs and goals and how to protect what matters to her clients most. She is passionate about empowering her clients. Putting her client at ease is our firm's priority.

Odette has gained a reputation as a skilled, tough, but conflict resolution-based lawyer whether she is negotiating an of court settlement or when representing her clients through court process. Odette is always ready. To her clients, she is known as calming, compassionate, knowledgeable, and creative yet straightforward and efficient.

 

In addition to advocating to her clients tirelessly and always looking for ways to improve access to justice for all members of our communities, Odette devotes time working with community-based NGOs in Ottawa and outside Canada. Odette was the principle founding lawyers of a legal clinic for Ottawa Immigrant Service in 2007, and she has continued to support this organization with providing information to women and children who are victims of domestic violence. She is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and County Carleton Law Association. Odette has served as a Board Member and a school Council for Ottawa School Boards, and as a Board of Director with the Ottawa Chinese Community Service Centre.

 

When Odette is not vigorously representing her clients or volunteering her time for different causes in the community, Odette loves spending time with her family, friends, and/or music, dancing, travelling, reading, and the outdoors.
