Me Bétournay works mainly in the areas of insurance law, civil litigation, general civil liability, professional liability and product liability.
She represents several professionals, including engineers, architects, insurance representatives and lawyers, various institutions and companies as well as their insurers before the Superior Court and the Quebec Court of Appeal.
She has acquired extensive experience in risk management, litigation, complex dispute resolution, management of major litigation cases and insurance coverage.
She has also written several texts and given conferences on the subject of insurance.
Honors
Since 2021, Me Marie-Hélène Bétournay has officially become a member (Fellow) of the American College of Trial Lawyers, one of the most prestigious associations of litigators in North America.
She was also recognized in the prestigious legal directory The Best Lawyers in Canada 2023 for her expertise in insurance law and product and manufacturer liability, in addition to winning the title of lawyer of the year 2022 in insurance law.
Me Bétournay was also named in the 2023 edition of the Canadian Legal Lexpert® Directory for her professional liability practice.
