Craig Brown is an experienced trial lawyer who attributes his success to strategic planning and careful risk management of his clients’ cases.

Craig is listed in The Canadian Legal Lexpert® Directory as a leading personal injury practitioner and in The Best Lawyers™ in Canada publication.

Craig’s practice philosophy is to ensure that his clients have all the information they need to make informed decisions.

“Going to court involves risk and almost always costs more, he says. Although I love going to court, I want to control that risk for my clients to ensure the best possible outcome for them.”

Craig has helped hundreds of clients achieve fair compensation for brain injuries, spinal cord injuries and other serious harms. In two headline-making court battles, he won $3.5 million for a 16-year-old Fort Erie boy who suffered catastrophic head injuries after being thrown from a defective bicycle. In another widely reported case, he won $1.2 million for Jennifer Cowles of Cambridge who was mauled by a Siberian tiger while visiting African Lion Safari Game Park.

In the historic Indian Residential Schools case, Craig displayed his class action experience as a leader of the cross-Canada 19-law firm consortium that achieved compensation for over 86,000 former Residential Schools students.

Craig is often asked to act as counsel to law firms wishing to use his trial experience to assist their clients in achieving fair compensation.

Craig is the author of many articles on legal topics and frequently lectures to his peers in the legal profession.

Craig is a director of Spinal Cord Injury Ontario.
