Colin is a partner and co-founder of O'Keefe & Sullivan, a boutique firm practicing in the areas of Tax Planning, Insolvency and Restructuring, Business Law, and Business Litigation.
Colin is a go to resource within the province for corporate commercial law, tax and estate planning. Drawing on his education in accounting and finance, Colin is able to provide clients with a wholistic approach to their legal matters.
Colin works with his client’s accountants, bankers and financial advisors and provides each client the attention they require to guide them through the many financial and tax related items they need to reflect on to accomplish their objectives. This allows each client to focus on growing their enterprise, while having their corporate and personal tax needs met by a professional who is in tune with their objectives.
Colin is frequently called upon to present to wide ranging audiences on topics including the purchase and sale of a business, domestic trusts and estate planning.
Outside of his law practice, Colin is actively involved with a number of not for profit and industry organizations. These include the Chartered Professional Accountants of Newfoundland and Labrador (Treasurer and Secretary), the Newfoundland and Labrador Rugby Union (Treasurer) and the Newfoundland and Labrador Sports Centre (Board Member). Colin also volunteers his time as a youth hockey coach with the U9 and U11 St. John’s Caps female hockey teams.
